Pointing a domain to a VPS server IP address

This article applies to Webfusion VPS servers.


This article will explain how to point a domain at a VPS IP address so that your domain can be hosted for email and web services to work.


123-reg Domains

If you have a domain hosted with 123-reg you can point your 123-reg domain to your VPS IP address following the below instructions.

Login to your 123-reg control panel.

In the Domain names section, select the relevant domain name in the drop-down list and click on the Manage button.

Click on the Manage DNS link.

Type the IP address into the Virtual Private Server VPS section.

Click the button next to the IP address Point to a Virtual Private Server VPS .

Domains With Another Provider

If you have your domain with another company, then we recommend that you add the below DNS records to your domain or contact your domain provider to request the changes to be made on your behalf.
