All Webfusion and 123 reg infrastructure servers are patched and we are in the process of revoking and reissuing our own SSL certificates for the infrastructure servers.
All our Dedicated managed servers have now been patched with OpenSSL version 1.0.1g.
Windows IIS based dedicated servers, VPS and shared hosting accounts are not affected
The Heartbleed bug can affect the following distributions that we support:
* Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS (OpenSSL 1.0.1-4ubuntu5.11)
* RedHat, CentOS 6.5 (OpenSSL 1.0.1e-15)
Non Windows VPS & Self managed Dedicated server customers should check if they are affected:
• OpenSSL 1.0.1 through 1.0.1f (inclusive) are vulnerable
• OpenSSL 1.0.1g is NOT vulnerable
• OpenSSL 1.0.0 branch is NOT vulnerable
• OpenSSL 0.9.8 branch is NOT vulnerable
• OpenSSL 1.0.1e-16 in a patch from Redhat for CentOS and is not vulnerable.
• If running a vulnerable OpenSSL version then the following applies.
• Patch their servers.
• Customers with own SSL certificates should consider requesting a revoke and reissue.
If you require specific instructions on how to apply the patch then our technical support team can provide you with this information.
Its strongly recommended to reboot after this patch, but if this is undesirable a restart of all services depending on openSSL should be fine:
* Web server (Apache or NGINX),
* Plesk /psa/ service: service psa restart
* Mail (IMAP/POP3/SMPT services like Qmail/CourierIMAP/Postfix/Sendmail),
* Databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
* Any other services which rely on SSL and authorization. If unsure
whether a service depends on SSL, we recommend restarting it.
If you require assistance with reissuing your SSL's then please contact a member off our technical support team.
