Why was my transfer canceled by OpenSRS?

This article applies to Top Level Domain names. E.g. .com .net .org etc


OpenSRS may choose to cancel a transfer when:

  • The domain name owner has not approved the transfer in time. This would be done by an email to the admin contact email address of the domain name, requesting the auth code.

  • The domain name being transferred is locked. To unlock your domain name view the following article on How do I unlock my domain name?.

  • The incorrect auth code was used. To re-request the auth code please view the following article on How do I get an Auth code?.

  • The domain name has expired.

  • The domain name is within 7 days of the expiry date.
