This article applies to Webfusion hosting.
This article will explain how to configure and upload your website using Dreamweaver.
FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
Before you begin, you will need:
- A Webfusion hosting package
- Your FTP server/host name
- Your FTP username
- Your FTP password
Please note: Your FTP server name, username and password are listed in the email sent to you confirming your hosting package.

Open up Adobe Dreamwaever.

Click on the Site menu.

Select the Manage Sites... menu.

Click on the New... button.

Click on the Site button from the drop down menu.

Click on the folder icon next to Local root folder and select the local folder for your website files.

Click on the folder icon next to Default images folder and select the local folder for your website images.

Click on the Remote Info link on the Category menu.

Select the Access type from the drop down list as FTP.

Type in your domain name into the FTP host field.

Type in your FTP username and password.

Click on the OK button.

Click on the Done button.
You can now upload your files in Dreamweaver using the file manager menu.
Please note: You will need to upload your web site files to the following folder dependent on your package;
- Linux package: public_html
- Windows package: web/content
