This article applies to Webfusion VPS servers.

This article will explain how you can setup a reverse dns record for your VPS server.

A reverse dns record is set by default on all IP addresses as part of a VPS package.

If you require a reverse dns record to be setup to a specific domain as shown below please contact our support team and submit a ticket with the information as below so we can make the requested change on your behalf.

Example:

Default reverse dns is in the following format :

lvps194-134-129-101.vps.webfusion.co.uk.

new reverse dns:

mail.domain.co.uk.

You can set your dns record to any host name of your choice , it does not have to be mail.domain.co.uk
