Your WebFusion account comes fully protected by our innovative Spam Filtering technology. Every email intended for your inbox is scanned and checked on entry to our network, and if our painstakingly developed filtering system identifies it as spam we won’t let it bother you – or your bandwidth!

Our system doesn’t just rely on one method of identifying spam – we’ve built a battalion of controls to fight for your inbox, making it virtually impossible for spam to get past:

• Heuristics engine – proactively monitored and regularly improved tests check messages for tell-tale signs of spam and verify mailserver and sender addresses.
• Bayesian Probability Algorithms – an intelligent, teachable database of characteristics of unwanted and wanted mail which helps the likelihood of any given message being spam.
• Checksum Databases – we consult several collaborative databases to ascertain whether the unique checksum of a given message matches one another user has reported as spam.
• Real Time Blackhole Lists – our filtering system checks several real time blackhole lists (RBLs) to test whether originating mailservers have been identified as known spam sources.

Our Spam Filtering uses a scoring system to reduce the likelihood of incorrect identification to a negligible level, and you can tune the system to your desired degree of sensitivity and have complete control of how mail identified as spam is handled.
